The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has issued an emergency evacuation for the towns of –DENVER, COLORADO-SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA-SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS-EVANSVILLE, INDIANA AND ATWATER, CALIFORNIA – due to a virus of unknown origin.  Between the hours of 0600 and 2000 emergency transporters shall be deployed to evacuate all citizens of the above cities.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO APPROACH OR CONTACT ANY INFECTED PERSON FOR ANY REASON.  It must be noted that all infected people have ceased living, only to come back to life with insane-like behavior.  There is no supplementary information regarding this “Zombie Apocalypse”.  There is however knowledge that these “berserkers” are severely lethal.  If you are seen by a zombie, DO NOT try to flee.  Until help arrives, the residents of the above mentioned cities are seriously advised to fortify themselves within their homes and wait for proper orders from authorities.  Once infected via blood contamination, any individual bitten or somehow infected with the virus are to be treated as EXTREMELY DEADLY and should be either be exterminated or quarantined IMMEDIATELY.  This is a warning from the CDC.

             What if you turned on your TV to this message?  What are the first things you would grab?  Family photos, your external hard drive, valuables, fine china, toilet paper, cell phone, bible, gun, knife…  What would you eat?  How about an official Zombie Apocalypse Burrito?  Of course, everyone knows that zombies are not real.  However, this blog post will come in handy for anyone who has found their fridge empty of any food items.  Zombie Apocalypse Burritos are a simple solution to fill the bellies of any bachelor, single college student, newly married couple or fictitious Zombie Apocalypse survivor.

There are a few supplies you will need in order to start creating your first Zombie Apocalypse Burrito:

Four 1.2 pound packs of cooked ground turkey, 2 cups of cooked rice (read the package for the amount of water to add - usually a 1:2 rice to water ratio), two 1 pound cans of refried beans, enough salsa and taco seasoning to flavor. Mix it all up in a large pot.

Once the filling is prepared, it is time to wrap the burritos.  First, you will need the following items:

10" flower tortillas

A bunch of shredded cheese.  I used cheddar.

Now lets get down to the nitty gritty:

STEP 1 - Start with a flat tortilla placed over the food wrap.  The wrap should be about 2" wider than the tortilla on either side.

STEP 2 - Get a couple of spoon-fulls of burrito filling and place it on the tortilla

STEP 3 - Form the burrito filling in the middle of the tortilla.  I know this might bring up a certain mental picture in some people's heads.  Just ignore it and remember that this is burrito mix!

STEP 4 - Add cheese

STEP 11 - Place them in a bag and put them in the freezer.  Once frozen, heat them up in the microwave for a scrumptious meal!
